Goddess Qetesh Ancient Levant and Egypt

Key Traits

  • Plants for pleasure
  • Healing & Magic
  • Sensuality & Love

Qetesh is unique as she is memorialized in ancient Egyptian art but hails from the Levant. In her Egyptian form she is called Qedeshet. She is a goddess of pleasure and ecstasy and is here to help you walk a path of sacred sexuality, being in touch with your pleasure, beauty, and a deep relationship with your embodiment.

Qetesh is often depicted in art holding snakes and water lilies. The snake was a multifaceted symbol for healing, magic, divination, and protection in the ancient world while the blue water lily (Egyptian blue lotus), was likely used ritually for its narcotic, euphoric, and aphrodisiac properties.

If this goddess has come into your life, you might be on a healing or plant path, one heavy with consciousness shifting medicines. She is here to help you awaken to your role as a healer and bring you onto your magical, spiritual, or medicine path.
